On Friday, April 3, our Pastor-Staff-Parish Relations Committee received news from District Superintendent Staci Current that Bishop Minerva Carcaño intends to appoint Rev. Brian Adkins to Willow Glen United Methodist Church in San Jose, effective July 1, 2020. You can read D.S. Current's letter here [PDF]. Epworth has been blessed by Pastor Brian's leadership during his tenure and we know Willow Glen will be similarly blessed by his ministry. On Friday, March 27, Bishop Carcaño and the appointive cabinet acted to close Trinity United Methodist Church, effective immediately. Let's be in prayer for these siblings in Christ as they grieve this loss in this difficult time.
