The California-Nevada Annual Conference Session will take place from June 26 - 29, 2026, at the Convention Center in Sacramento, California. The annual conference is the basic body of The United Methodist Church, and its sessions have historically been a time for the people called Methodists to gather and give an account to God of the work they have done and of their stewardship of the resources God has given them since they last met. The worship will be powerful as we celebrate big milestones: the 30th Anniversary of Deacons, the 50th Anniversary of UMVIM, the 70th Anniversary of Women's Ordination, and the 200th Anniversary of Methodism in Tonga. The Annual Conference Session (ACS) will elect the delegation for the 2028 General Conference and Jurisdictional Conference. We will
consider legislation, ordain/commission clergy, recognize retiring clergy, celebrate the life of clergy and clergy spouses who have passed during the previous year, and set clergy appointments. Epworth UMC’s lay members of the annual conference are Blythe Riske and Julie Munro. Merrie Bunt and Kim Hraca are alternate lay members. Pastor Debbie and retired clergy are clergy members of the annual conference. Visit the Conference website for more information at cnumc.org.
