Where are you being called to serve?

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.

There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

There are different kinds of working,

but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.”

-1 Corinthians 12:4-6

Throughout scripture, we are assured that God has given each of us a set of spiritual gifts. A set of 20 different spiritual gifts has been identified, ranging from leadership to faith to service to tongues. Do you know which spiritual gifts you possess?

This year as our nominations process gets underway, I’m writing to ask if you would help us in that work by taking a quick spiritual gifts assessment online. It will take you about 10 minutes. Move through the questions quickly, and try not to overthink your answers. When you finish, please write down your top six spiritual gifts and send them to Pastor Kristin by November 2, 2021 at noon. If you have experienced a spiritual gift in yourself that didn’t show up in your results, please send that to me also! If you have heard a call to serve in a specific way, please let me know that as well.

As persons of faith and hope, we are called to put our gifts to use! Your nominations committee is in discernment now about service and leadership for the next year. We hope to receive your spiritual gifts inventory resu

lts and then consider ways your gifts are needed in the life and ministry of Epworth. Epworth has administrative and program committees, as well as task forces. Where are you being called to offer your time and talents? When spiritual gifts are matched with service, joy and satisfaction are often the result.

If you’d like to have a more in-depth conversation with me or a member of the nominations committee about where God is calling, we would welcome that.

Please send in your results by November 2 at noon!

May the contemplation of your spiritual gifts affirm and bless you.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Kristin
