Will you join us in making meaningful reparations?
The Reparations Action Group has been discerning what authentic, meaningful reparations might look like at Epworth since late last Fall. The group initially committed to studying reparations guided by an interfaith curriculum. Having turned our focus to taking reparative action (and having explored several options), we’re seeking the congregation’s feedback and support in partnering with the Black Wealth Builder’s Fund as the first step. Over time, we intend to pursue a number of reparative actions in partnership with Epworth’s other Racial Justice Action efforts as we live out our commitment to being an anti-racist, justice-seeking church.
Please come after worship on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 11:45 – 1:30 (in-person & via zoom) and join us in exploring reparations as a spiritual practice and learning more about the Black Wealth Builder’s Fund.

Hope to see you there!
