Narrative Budget: Epworth's vision for ministry in 2023

Beloved Epworth Community,

In the last few days, you should have received a letter from me in the mail, by email, or both, that introduced this year’s stewardship campaign, A Better Place. I trust you’ve also been moved by the testimonies in worship from Connie Adachi and Michael Martin about why they believe Epworth is A Better Place that is contributing to a better world.

I want to make sure you have seen this beautiful narrative budget, created by Clark Kellogg and our stewardship team, that shares Epworth’s impact and points toward the ministry we hope to engage during 2023. In order to respond to all that we feel God is calling us to, we’ve set a goal of an increase in congregational pledging by at least 10% in both dollars and number of households pledging.

This coming Sunday is Commitment Sunday and we’ll hear from stewardship chair, Wendy Wiegmann and testimony from Kate Snipes. You are invited to bring your pledge card forward during the last hymn, or simply complete a pledge card online. After worship, we’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall for a finger foods potluck and a celebration of all of Epworth ministries and people in our annual Church Conference. (Please note, we are without our main refrigerator right now, so consider bringing something that does not need to be refrigerated before the potluck. The small youth kitchen refrigerator is available.)

Thank you for making Epworth A Better Place, and for investing in the ways Epworth reaches in and reaches out for a better world.

Gratefully,

Pastor Kristin
