Faith in Action

At Epworth, we believe in putting our faith in action.

This begins with us being a Reconciling Congregation where we welcome ALL people on their journey of faith. And from there, it branches out as we strive to live and share God’s love by reaching out to the local and global community and by supporting justice for all people, as we meet needs together in a changing world.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a ministry of care and companionship for people who are going through times of stress or transition in their lives.  It is a ministry that is most effective when the congregation knows about it and asks for it in times of need. Epworth is fortunate to have an active Stephen Ministry program. To view and hear video clips from actual care receivers who have experienced Stephen Ministry, use this link:

If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister in the future, would like care, or know someone in need of care, contact either of our Stephen Leaders; Beverly Dance 510.339.1996 or Pat Bruce-Lerrigo 510.612.9656.

Prayer Chain

The confidential email prayer chain exists to lift up concerns too personal to share during our public prayer time, or for immediate needs.  Contact Beverly Dance, dance@mba.berkeley.edu.
